Pneumonia is a form of acute respiratory infection that affects the lungs. Pneumonia is an infection that inflames the air sacs in one or both lungs. The air sacs may fill with fluid or pus, causing cough with phlegm or pus, fever, chills, and difficulty breathing. A variety of organisms, including bacteria, viruses and fungi, can cause pneumonia. Bacteria are a common cause of pneumonia in adults. Viruses that infect your lungs and airways can cause pneumonia. The flu and the common cold are the most common causes of viral pneumonia in adults. Respiratory syncytial virus  is the most common cause of viral pneumonia in young children. Pneumonia symptoms can vary from so mild you barely notice them, to so severe that hospitalization is required. Tuberculosis (TB) is a serious illness that mainly affects the lungs, but it can also affect other parts of the body, such as the brain, the kidneys, or the spine.                             An affected lung Tuberculosis can spread when a person with the illness coughs, sneezes or sings.This can put tiny droplets with the germs into the air. Another person can then breathe in the droplets, and the germs enter the lungs and become infected; this is called latent TB infection.
