Depression is a common and serious health problem that negatively affects the mental health of a person. It affects pthe way one think, act and feel. 

Depression makes one lose interest in things that one was used to ,but luckily depression has a cure. It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can decrease the ability to function at work or at home. Depression can affect any one regardless of their Pgender, age or background. University students are also victims of depression.

The signs of depression are feeling worthless, difficulty thinking, thoughts of suicide, increased fatigue, trouble sleeping or sleeping too much, changes in appetite and lose of pleasure in activities you onced enjoy.

Major causes of depression among university and college students are the use of substance abuse, a family history of depression or mental health, poor eating habits, lack of sleep and not having enough exercise.Students can overcome depression by doing the following .

Get enough sleep. Incase depression starts to kick in, one should try to change in their living styles.Take all the distractions out of your bedroom 

One should build healthy relationships that brings you up. It is also okay to have some lone time to meditate on yourself but don't make this a regular habit.

Exercise and eat well. Exercises help you control your mood. Also pay attention to the time and food you eat.
